Most lesson recordings are watched once, if at all. A one-hour video is hard to navigate: students can’t find the five minutes they need, small handwriting is blurry, and there is no way to ask “where did we cover this?”.
A replay, not a video
When you record a lesson on Inkwis, it records what happens on the board — every stroke, page change, poll and question — alongside your voice. A replay rebuilds the board at any moment:
- Scrub to any second and see the canvas exactly as it was, sharp at any zoom.
- Read the transcript next to the board.
- See polls, questions and chat where they happened on the timeline.
Because the replay is the board itself, students can zoom into a diagram you drew at 20:15 and read every label.
Ask the Replay
With Ask the Replay, a student types a question — “what did the teacher say about osmosis?” — and gets an answer drawn from what was said and drawn, with timestamps to jump to. It turns a recording into revision material.
Share it with the right people
- Everyone on the board, or only the people who were there — useful when a lesson includes students’ work or discussion.
- A share link for students without an account; turn it off any time.
Recordings are kept for 45 days on the free plan, 6 months on Plus and 3 years on Pro, and you can delete one whenever you like.
How to record
- Press Record in the top bar (with or without a live session).
- Turn your microphone on if you want your voice in the replay.
- Teach as usual.
- Press Stop recording. The replay appears under Replays a moment later, and the transcript follows shortly after.
